We are not just a place of learning but also a place of belonging together and building connections
It does not matter whether you are new to Aotearoa/ New Zealand, or you’ve lived here for years, we offer you an extended family to help you raise your children in a village within the city, in a way that is important to you.
Perched high above the city, All About Children centre offers a truly unique early learning experience for all children as we believe in the strengths of a multicultural environment. Our centre is an easy choice for families who live, work, or study in the city. We are a centre that welcomes you all.
Purpose-designed learning environments
Both the indoor and outdoor environments have been designed by Early Childhood Educators in collaboration with industry leading providers to create an environment that is home like, nurturing and stimulating.
From the youngest toddlers to our confident preschoolers, children thrive in a calm, light-filled space that overlooks the energy of the city. Our learning environments are designed to inspire curiosity and imagination — with experiences that reflect both the beauty of our urban setting and the values of aroha, whanaungatanga, and manaakitanga.
Parent partnerships and communications
We celebrate the richness of our diverse community. Our kaiako bring a deep understanding of cultural identity and belonging, weaving Te Whāriki — the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum — into daily practice. We believe that building respectful and collaborative partnerships with each family is important. We achieve this through face-to-face communication, as well as through Storypark, so that families receive regular updates and photos during the day of their child’s time at our centre.
Nutritious meals
We’re passionate about nutritional education. From this early age we inculcate in our children the virtues of healthy eating by serving fresh, nutritious food and encouraging physical activity. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are freshly prepared at the centre by our in-house chef.
20-hour free for 3-5 year-olds
Quality education and care need not come with a high price tag. Our fees are competitive. We also offer 20-hour free ECE programme and WINZ subsidies. For a limited time, we are also offering a free trial. Centre subsidies are also offered. Contact the centre manager for information on this initiative.
Loving and experienced educators
All of our inspiring educators hold relevant qualifications and most of them are highly experienced. Their passion for nurturing and educating children is evident in everything that they do. Please read our testimonials to hear what our families think of the standard of education and care that we offer.
School readiness programme
Helping your child transition to school seamlessly with a holistic programme that supports the development of independence and confidence. Interests are promoted and children are provided assistance and resources required to become active learners.
Convenient location
Located in the city centre, on Hobson Street, we are ideal for parents living in the city or those working in the city and looking for a loving and nurturing environment with early start and late finish.
Cultural diversity
We create a welcoming environment for all and constantly maintain a high level of cultural competence. We embrace our multicultural community and promote a culture of openness, acceptance and understanding.
Community connections
Community connections give children a sense of belonging and offer a range of learning experiences. Our community partnerships improve children’s learning, inclusion, and wellbeing.
